I Can Officially Say...

that I am a NBCT!!!! (National Board Certified Teacher)  Wow!  What a rush, a complete and utter shock.  I am still in shock an hour later!  I woke up this morning, checked FB on my phone to see that my colleague had posted (in the middle of the night) that she had passed.  That meant scores were up, so I jumped out of bed and immediately checked.... Now, I went into this thinking there was NO WAY I was going to pass.  I actually went to check to see what I had to retake.  So imagine my confusion when I saw this...

I literally was confused.  I didn't know what I was seeing... why did it say 2022??  Then I looked at the top of my home page and it said this...

What?!?  I passed?!?  How in the heck did I do that?!?  If you have followed my NB story, you'll know that last year was rough with the knee injury and all (see previous posts).  Then I started to cry, which is only par for the course when it comes to National Boards.

Somehow through the mess of last year I persevered and made it!  I am still in shock and probably will always be!

Congrats to all those that passed, whether it be your first try, second or third!  I am also thinking of those who did not pass this round.  You can do it, I know you can.  Good luck on retakes!

  4. Congratulations! I know your feelings exactly...I certified in 2008. There's nothing like when the shock wears off and you realize you're actually reading that message correctly on the screen.
